Author- Richard Bach
‘Hypnotizing Maria: The secret of a Meaningful Life’ by Richard Bach, is a smart book, different from other books, knitted with great imaginative skills and portrayed in a wise writing fashion.
As the back cover says-‘In the teaching fable,Richard Bach explores both flight and metaphysics. In the opening moments of the story,we meet Jamie Forbes, a pilot who guides a woman into landing a plane safely after her husband loses consciousness. She later claims it was like being hypnotized.Richard Bach,in this his twentieth book, has written a compelling fable about reality and suggestion.
Bach explores deep spiritual issues in this slim volume. Our true nature,it seems,is not bound by space and time.We live in a world full of appearances. If we stop accepting them as reality, the book suggests, these appearances will cease to be our reality. We enter this world to explore,to have fun,to learn ,and to have shared experiences with the people we care about, but most of all to learn how to love and love again.’
I found the writing style a bit different and I would say it: blunt type.
No unnecessary description is entraped in this book.It is a short, sleek and up to the point tale giving anxious vibes at every next page. For typical Indian readers, this book could be a bit difficult to understand.I’m not talking about the story,I’m saying about the writing fashion.
Philosphical and intelligent conversations pulls the chain of this book.Author came up with such an interesting and out of the blue concept which could easily grasp reader’s attention. On the other hand, the message it provides hold its epitome to stand one among the bests.
This book illustrates such concept which will make your mind go round and round and make you ponder about its existence. In my case,I realized it to be true and a part of everything I do.Well, what is this thing-for sure, as the name depicts something related to ‘Hypontism’.But how? To know, you should read this book. You would feel great to know such an interesting fact of life.
