A sleek book with an efficacious title and a sober cover design which lacks the intensity to tell readers about the story.Although the title chosen by the author is really effective and attractive but on the same hand I wish to had a more powerful and catchy design to grab reader’s attention at first sight. To correct one thing, on the front cover it is written’Death in Every Stride; a novel’ which should be replaced by ‘a novelette’ or a ‘short story’.

As the blurb of he book goes : “Based on the global epidemic that most women face in their lives, Death in Every Stride is a dark fable of Krisanne who is going to turn on her wheels and step into a new phase of her life with Paul Dore. Rather, it is a new beginning of the stygian darkness before dawn for Krisanne. How her dreams which she had weaved with flower petals are filled with thorns is what the story revolves around. At the end the author poses a strong question, “Who is at fault for Paul’s attitude and insane cave of thoughts?”

Being it a 50 paged book,I know I would complete it in a single go,if author’s narrating style would support me,and so happened with it.Author’s narrating style is simple so is the articulation.Very precisely and very neatly narration is curved around the story-line and gives a neat and clean presentation of the story.

Talking about the plot of the story, it is common in nature and conveys the pain of a woman in a facile manner. The story is partitioned into fine divisions showcasing various forms of the protagonist : hopeful, happy, disturbed, scared, depressed, overwhelmed, unlucky, inspired, dutiful, guilty and victorious. All these colours of the protagonist shown in the form of letters written in different mode and different expectations is what I like most of this book.

Counting the downfalls of the book there are a very few.Usually I am not accustomed to short stories, but as I found the theme of the book falling into my liking cloud,I picked up this book.As it is a short story, there are very few places where I can feel the story and feel myself involved in the story.

If you like reading short story,it is a nice one and you could try it.
