Sherlock Holmes Series
‘The Secret Notebooks’ of Sherlock Holmes by June Thomas is the best one among the three books I have read of June Thomson.(Two other books- The Secret Archieves and The Secret Journal).
In this series,author has tried her best to potray her imaginations in a more lively way.More dramatic scenes,tactic ways of Sherlock Holmes to unfold the mystery and to some extent this book is quite successful to create the ambiance of Sherlock Holmes readings.
Same as of her other two books,this book also comprises of seven mystery tales. I enjoyed reading this book but not as much as Arthur Conan Doyle’s book. Author needs to work more on her imaginations to come to the level of Arthur Conan Doyle.
Footnotes seemed cunning to my eyes and all of her books has footnotes.I think the author should focus more on how to potray her imaginations well rather than this.
Overall this book didn’t disappoint me.It was not a waste of time to read it.This book can be included in the list of good Sherlock Holmes series book.
